ROUND
1: Canada Heights
Canada
Heights derives its name from the legions of Canadian troops
who based themselves on lofty setting during the First World
War. The Sidcup and district motorcycle club have been in
control of the land since 1938. When not hosting first-class
racing events the track is used for training police officers.
The entire track has been re-graded and revised with new
jumps, banked corners and obstacles and should present the
competitors with something completely new and challenging.
The local Sidcup motorcycle club have been working diligently
through the off-season to maintain Canada Height’s
reputation as one of the best circuits in the UK.

Directions: Button Street, Swanley,
Kent, which is off the A20 between Farningham and Swanley.
Leave the M20 or M25 at the Swanley Interchange (Junction
3 M25) following the brown ‘Brands Hatch’ chequered
flag signs. Take the Farningham / Brands Hatch exit from
the roundabout. Go straight over the roundabout by the council
yard and take the first left (Button Street). The track
is approximately 1 mile down the lane on the right hand
side before the motorway tunnel.
The
club have an excellent website with regular news updates
and lots of photos of the circuit undergoing work and changes
throughout the winter of 2004: www.sidcupmotorcycleclub.co.uk
ROUND
2: Polesworth
A
sandy track that has come onto the calendar at the last
minute after flooding left Pontrilas unable to host the
second round of the Championships. Good viewing possibilities
and continual improvement in the facilities mean that the
venue should be more than a capable substitute.
Directions:
Close to Tamworth. Take junction 10 from the M42 where signs
will lead the way.

3: Cadders Hill, Lyng
Situated
outside the village of Lyng this circuit had featured championship
events for many years. A dry sand base is prepared to a
high standard by the Norwich Club, but by the end of the
day becomes extremely rough. Excellent viewing trackside
and from the large flat car park makes a trip to East Anglia
worthwhile.
Directions:
The track is found off the A1067 Norwich to Fakenham road,
or close to the A47 from Norwich to King's Lynn road.

4: Culham
Situated
on the banks of the River Thames the circuit has been re-designed
for its inclusion in this year series. Following tradition,
a new set of whoops has been added at the bottom of the
circuit, which has also been shortened slightly since last
used in 2003. The circuit also boasts a new tarmac entrance
road. Local

5: Desertmartin, Northern Ireland
Expect
the steep hills within the confines of a disused sand quarry
to be full of atmosphere as Britain’s top riders negotiate
some of the largest jumps and spectacular Table Tops in
the series. The track is less than an hour by road from
the ferry port at Larne and even closer to Belfast International
Airport. This year the circuit also entertains the final
round of the 2005 FIM World Championships. Local

6: Landrake, Plymouth
Having
been a reserve organiser for the past two years Landrake
now has a slot on the calendar. A hillside circuit which
offers 90% viewing of its many jumps and new rhythm section.
The track is over a mile long and 10 metres wide, set in
a 25 acre field (10 hectares) and covers approx 14 acres,
leaving 11 acres for parking and pits - with plenty of scope
for future track expansion (250 acres in total available). With
features such as plateaus, raised berms, ski-ramps, quad
step-downs and step-ups, and a laptime of approximately
two minutes, exhilarating racing is ensured. New GP-standard
start gates have been installed for 2004, with a lengthened
start straight.
Directions:
The circuit is situated just off the main A38 dual carriageway
after the Tamar Bridge just three miles outside of Plymouth.
